If nothing happened, other than him growling at the other dog I’d say he won’t react differently. However, if he had a negative experience with that dog in any way, then I would say that it is possible for your dog to feel fear or anxiety when approached by a rude, large dog. As long as you continue to not put your dog in situations that he cannot handle, he should be fine socializing with large dogs with manners! I want you to remember that growling is a good thing!! Yes, growling is good. He’s letting you know explicitly that he is not comfortable with the situation that he is in. He’s saying knock it off, this is the last straw. If he does not get interesting input every day I am sure he would get depressed. But he does so all is well. Billy is happy seeing and meeting his friends and new friends.
