Probably a necessity God Bless America And Those Who Defend It Remember Everyone Deployed T-shirt . for any fan of music that wants to get into the industry, Jonas Brothers fan or not this is just a moving story. The end credits song in this film is fantastic and it’s making me more hopeful for the album after the quite frankly terrible. Book smart is the newest highly acclaimed film of that the whole world has pretty much fallen in love with. People have been putting it in the same category as Lady Bird and Eighth Grade as essential coming of age films. I remember seeing the trailer for it before the film us and my friend and I talking about how trashy it looked. Then, I heard the acclaim and tried to open up my mind coming into the theater.

I think it’s without its excellent qualities but ultimately a lot of it fell a bit short for me. To say what I liked first, Kaitlyn Denver and are an absolute revelation together. I mean, they have dynamite chemistry and both pull off such fantastic performances. They get the comedic timing down solid and are able to creative believable characters. Olivia Wilde here shows she has some talent behind the camera. While the cinematography is kind of bland her cool editing choices, cuts and pans gives the film a whole personality and makes the pace of this film really strong. There are specific sequences in this film I thought really worked dramatically and some I thought were funny.However, I only found myself chuckling a few times. I think the biggest problem for me with is the film not figuring out its tone. This film is right between Lady Bird and Scott Pilgrim when it comes to fantastical elements. They didn’t find the specific tone they wanted. I felt the timing to be kind of off in some scenes. There’s a sequence that takes place on a party ship and I honestly cringed the entire time. Same with a theater murder mystery party I just found frankly obnoxious. The film will have sequences with a lot of charm and wit- like the conversations between the two main leads and a sequence with their principal in a car.
